my mom's famous whiskey sours

serves 1

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 oz Maker’s Mark (or your favorite whiskey)

  • 3/4 oz freshly squeezed lemon juice

  • 1/4 oz simple syrup

  • dash of maraschino cherry juice

  • maraschino cherries, for garnish

  • large square or spherical ice cubes, because its fun!

DIRECTIONS

  1. In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, add whiskey, lemon juice and simple syrup. Shake well for 30 seconds until chilled.

  2. Strain into a rocks glass filled with your fun shaped ice cubes.

  3. Add just a splash of maraschino cherry juice and stir slightly.

  4. Garnish with a maraschino cherry. Enjoy!
